We are...

Rick Freeman, Victoria Earle, Rick's daughter Eva (pictured) and his son Olly. We are based just outside Bristol in Barrow Gurney, North Somerset. After small beginnings in the garden shed we now have a workshop just a five minute walk from our cottage. After strolling to work we spend our days making, bottling and labelling our drinks.

How it all began....

A few summers ago we started making cordial with all the elderflowers in the garden and served it as presse to friends and family. People kept saying how 'lovely' it was so we decided to have a go at selling it.

So we made some labels, printed a few flyers and off we went to the Lovefood Festival in Bristol. To our surprise other people liked the drinks too - and even bought them - and so Lovely Drinks Ltd was born.

Then what happened...

After a few events and markets we began to get trade interest and things just took off from there. We started experimenting with different flavours and branched out from elderflower drinks to ginger beer, lemonade and apple juice. We now have customers in Bristol, Bath, Somerset and London but we want to remain a small set-up. We just think it's simpler and more fun that way.

Three years on, it's still very satisfying when new customers try our drinks and say, "Oh, how lovely!" - although to be honest sometimes they say, "Wow - that's lush!".
