
Granola makes a great, healthy breakfast. It's also super simple to customise to suit your tastes. Here's our favourite easy-peasy vegan recipe, that you can adapt for what you have hanging around in your cupboards.
The beauty of this recipe is that you can mix and match to make something you like. But here are some suggestions that we think work well.
Oats - Gluten-Free, Regular, Jumbo
Nuts - Cashews, Almonds, Hazelnuts, Brazil Nuts, Coconut Flakes, Pecans, Walnuts
Seeds - Pumpkin, Seasame, Chai, Sunflower, Flax, Hemp
Syrup - Date, Maple, Brown Rice, Agave, Golden Syrup
Oil - Sunflower, Coconut, Vegetable
Toppings - Raisins, Goji Berries, Sultanas, Dried Fruit, Cocoa Nibs
What you'll need:
- 400g of Oats
- 100g of Nuts
- 100g of Seeds
- Pinch of Salt
- 150ml of Syrup
- 80g Oil
- 100g of Toppings
Method:
1) Preheat the oven to 160°C
2) Roughly chop your nuts
3) Mix together your oats, nuts, seeds, salt, syrup and oil
4) Spread your mix out on a baking tray and press down so it's even
5) Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, until golden or longer if you like it crunchy
6) Leave to cool then add the toppings of your choice
7) Voila! Keep your granola in an airtight container and enjoy it for a few weeks - if it lasts that long
No breakfast is complete without a glass of fresh Orange Juice. Ours is made from Spanish oranges with a little natural pulp to get your morning going
